The Making of the Redemption Windows

The acclaimed ecclesiastical stained glass artist Thomas Denny designed and made two new windows for Leicester Cathedral to commemorate the life and death of King Richard III. They are the final part of the medieval king's reinterment, which took place on the 26th March 2015.

In this film we step into the magical world of stained glass and watch Thomas working directly on the windows and discussing his motivations behind the imagery and techniques used to develop the glass surfaces over an 8-month period – from initial design to final installation.
